Make the famous, fluffy Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter at home in under 5 minutes. This sweet, creamy spread uses only four ingredients and is perfect for warm rolls or biscuits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or use a large bowl with a hand mixer.
  2. Beat the butter on medium speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the sifted powdered sugar and ground cinnamon to the butter.
  4. Mix on low speed until the dry ingredients are just incorporated, then increase the speed to medium-high.
  5. Add the honey and continue beating until the mixture is completely smooth, light, and whipped, about 2 to 3 more minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  6. Serve immediately with warm rolls, or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For the best whipped texture, make sure your butter is truly at room temperature, not melted.
  • If you prefer a less sweet spread, reduce the powdered sugar to 1/3 cup and substitute the honey with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup.
  • This homemade compound butter keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
