Make a delicious pepperoni pizza at home with a crisp crust, tangy sauce, and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or a piece of parchment paper.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle with dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if using.
  8. Drizzle the olive oil around the edges of the crust.
  9. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  11. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, bake the pizza directly on the oven rack after sliding it off the peel.
  • You can add other toppings like mushrooms, onions, or peppers.
  • Use a good quality tomato sauce for the best flavor.
