Make this warm, creamy, and cheesy dip topped with sweet and spicy pepper jelly. It is a quick appetizer perfect for parties and game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepper jelly (red or mixed)
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, chopped (optional)
  • Crackers or bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a small, oven-safe serving dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix them together until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared serving dish.
  4. Spoon the pepper jelly over the top of the cheese layer. Spread it gently to cover the cheese.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped toasted pecans over the pepper jelly layer.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and slightly bubbly around the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with crackers or bread for dipping.

Notes

  • For a savory twist, mix 2 slices of cooked, crumbled bacon into the cheese layer before topping with jelly.
  • If you prefer a less sweet dip, use a jalapeño jelly or a hot pepper jelly.
  • You can assemble this dip ahead of time and keep it covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking.
