Make the famous Neiman Marcus Dip, also known as Million Dollar Dip. This creamy, cheesy, cold dip combines bacon, almonds, and green onions for a popular party appetizer that is simple to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (scallions)
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • For serving: Tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise in a medium bowl. Mix until the texture is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to distribute all ingredients evenly throughout the base.
  3. Fold in the toasted sliced almonds gently. If you prefer a dip without nuts, skip this step.
  4. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the Neiman Marcus Dip for at least 2 hours before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, stir the dip again. Transfer the Million Dollar Dip to a serving bowl.
  6. Serve cold with your favorite chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Toasting the almonds enhances their flavor and crunch. Spread them in a dry skillet over medium heat and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring often until fragrant. Let them cool completely before adding to the dip.
  • This Cheesy Bacon Almond Dip is excellent for making ahead. You can prepare it up to 24 hours in advance.
  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
