Make this classic, no-bake Mandarin Orange Fluff Salad. It is a sweet, creamy, and simple side dish perfect for holidays or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 ounce) package orange gelatin (Jello)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped, or 8 ounces whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the orange gelatin completely in the boiling water. Stir until no granules remain.
  2. Add the cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir well.
  3. Refrigerate the gelatin mixture until it is partially set, about 1 to 1.5 hours. It should be thick but not completely firm.
  4. Gently fold in the drained mandarin oranges and the miniature marshmallows into the partially set gelatin.
  5. Fold in the whipped cream or thawed whipped topping until everything is just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Chill the salad for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set completely.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use canned mandarin oranges packed in light syrup and drain them well.
  • If you prefer a firmer salad, you can let the gelatin set longer, but avoid letting it become completely solid before adding the other ingredients.
  • This salad tastes best when served cold.
