Make tender, juicy boneless chicken thighs with a rich, creamy garlic sauce using this simple oven-baked method. This recipe delivers comfort food flavor in under 40 minutes, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil for easier cleanup.
Pat the chicken thighs completely dry using paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick.
In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Rub this mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, and minced garlic. Pour this mixture around the chicken thighs in the baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Carefully remove the dish from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken and the sauce.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
Let the chicken rest in the dish for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For an even richer sauce, you can sear the chicken thighs in an oven-safe skillet for 2 minutes per side before adding the cream mixture and baking.
If you prefer bone-in, skin-on thighs, increase the total cook time by about 10 to 15 minutes to account for the bone.
Serve this dish over rice or alongside roasted broccoli for a complete meal.
