A simple and fresh guacamole recipe perfect for a quick snack or party dip, balancing creamy avocado with tangy lime and cilantro.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely diced
  • 12 serrano peppers, minced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency. Leave some chunks for texture if you prefer.
  3. Add the diced red onion, minced serrano peppers, chopped cilantro, and lime juice to the bowl.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Stir everything together until well combined.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or as a topping.

Notes

  • For a smoother guacamole, mash the avocados more thoroughly.
  • If you don’t have serrano peppers, jalapeños can be substituted.
  • Add a diced tomato for extra flavor and color.
  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before storing.
