Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 8 oz mushrooms, halved
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add steak cubes to the marinade, toss to coat, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated steak and vegetables onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating pieces.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the kabobs for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the steak reaches your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning on the grill.
  • You can substitute sirloin with flank steak or ribeye.
  • Serve with your favorite BBQ sauce or a side salad.
  • Consider this recipe as part of your meal planning for a healthy summer cookout.
