Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season the steak cubes evenly with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Work in batches if necessary.
Sear the steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side until a brown crust forms. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet. Let it melt completely.
Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
Stir in the Italian seasoning. Cook for another 15 seconds.
Return the seared steak bites to the skillet. Toss them gently to coat completely in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for 1 minute to heat through.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.
Notes
For a low carb steak dinner, serve these bites alone or with steamed green beans.
If you want steak bites with potatoes, cook 1 pound of small, cubed potatoes in the skillet first until tender before searing the steak.
To achieve restaurant style steak bites, use a high-heat oil like avocado oil for searing.
