1 cup cold water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup frozen strawberries or 1 teaspoon pink food coloring
Ice cubes
Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
Make simple syrup: Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
Combine liquids: In a pitcher, mix the cooled simple syrup with the fresh lemon juice and the strawberries or food coloring until you achieve a uniform pink color. Chill this base mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
Combine for serving: When ready to serve, pour the chilled pink lemonade base into glasses filled with ice.
Top with cream: Gently spoon or pipe the whipped cream over the top of the lemonade in each glass.
Garnish: Add a lemon slice to the rim of each glass before serving immediately.
Notes
For a stronger berry flavor, use 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries instead of strawberries.
If you do not have heavy cream, you can substitute with frozen whipped topping (like Cool Whip), but the texture will be less rich.
