- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 avocado, mashed
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt to taste
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Do not overcook.
- While shrimp cooks, prepare the slaw by combining shredded cabbage, cilantro, and 1/4 cup lime juice in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare the crema by mixing mashed avocado, mayonnaise, sour cream, 1 tablespoon lime juice, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
- Warm the corn tortillas according to package directions.
- Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with cooked shrimp, slaw, and a drizzle of avocado crema.
Notes
- For a spicier taco, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning.
- You can grill the shrimp instead of sautéing for a smoky flavor.
- Serve with your favorite taco toppings like diced tomatoes, onions, or jalapeños.
- Consider this a great alternative to some meal delivery services for a fresh, home-cooked meal.
