Make this fast, creamy green olive dip in under 10 minutes. It requires no baking and uses simple ingredients, making it a perfect last-minute appetizer for guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pitted green olives, drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the drained green olives, softened cream cheese, olive oil, garlic clove, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the dip and add more pepper or lemon juice if you prefer a stronger flavor.
  4. Transfer the whipped olive dip to a serving bowl.
  5. Serve immediately with crackers, pita bread, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a slightly different flavor, substitute half the green olives with black olives to create a mixed olive dip.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop the olives and mash them thoroughly with the cream cheese using a fork, though the texture will be less smooth.
  • Chill the dip for 30 minutes before serving if you prefer a firmer texture.
