Make this simple, creamy Oreo Dirt Cake. This no-bake dessert layers crushed Oreos, chocolate pudding, and a light cream filling for a nostalgic treat perfect for any party or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: Gummy worms for decoration

Instructions

  1. Crush all Oreo cookies until they resemble fine dirt. Set aside about 1 cup of the crumbs for topping.
  2. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions using the cold milk. Let it set for 5 minutes, then gently fold in half of the thawed whipped topping.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the remaining half of the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
  5. Assemble the dirt cake in a large trifle dish or 9×13 inch pan. Create the first layer using half of the crushed Oreos.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo layer.
  7. Top the cream cheese layer with the chocolate pudding mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos over the pudding layer to create the ‘dirt’ top.
  9. If using, press gummy worms into the top layer.
  10. Chill the Oreo Dirt Cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.

Notes

  • For the best texture, use instant pudding, not cook-and-serve pudding.
  • You can make this dessert in individual cups for easy serving at parties.
  • If you want a richer flavor, substitute half of the milk with cold coffee when making the pudding.
