Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
Reduce the heat to low. Add the butter, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the butter melts and coats the broccolini.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and toss once more.
Serve immediately as a quick broccolini side dish.
Notes
For roasted broccolini, toss the trimmed broccolini with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast on a sheet pan at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes until slightly charred. Add the garlic butter and lemon after roasting.

If you prefer a milder flavor, omit the red pepper flakes.
