Make this easy, no-bake chocolate mousse pie featuring a crunchy Oreo crust, a rich, silky chocolate mousse filling, and a light whipped cream topping. This decadent dessert is simple to prepare for any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups crushed Oreo cookies (about 28 cookies)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter in a medium bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Place the crust in the freezer while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the chocolate mousse filling base: In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
  3. Beat the cream cheese mixture: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine the mixtures: Gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the pudding mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fill the crust: Spoon the chocolate mousse filling evenly into the chilled Oreo crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill the pie: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is firm.
  7. Prepare the topping: In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  8. Top and serve: Spread or pipe the whipped cream topping over the chilled pie. Garnish with chocolate shavings before slicing and serving. Keep leftovers refrigerated.

Notes

  • For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate pudding mix instead of regular instant chocolate pudding mix.
  • If you do not have Oreos, you can substitute with graham crackers for the crust, using the same amount of crushed crumbs and butter.
  • Chill the pie for a minimum of 6 hours for the firmest texture, especially if serving a crowd.
