Ingredients
Scale
2 oz premium vodka
1 oz dark chocolate liqueur
0.5 oz white crème de cacao
0.5 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
Ice
Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
Chill your martini glass thoroughly before starting.
Add the vodka, chocolate liqueur, crème de cacao, and heavy cream to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 to 30 seconds. This ensures proper chilling and slight frothing.
Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
Garnish the top with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a high-quality dark chocolate liqueur.
If you prefer a less creamy drink, omit the heavy cream and use only 0.5 oz of cold water or substitute with a splash of coffee liqueur for a mocha twist.
To rim your glass, moisten the rim with a lemon wedge and dip it into fine granulated sugar or cocoa powder before pouring the drink.
