Make the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick at home with this easy copycat recipe. It features juicy grapes, crunchy pecans, and a rich cream cheese dressing, topped with brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups red seedless grapes
  • 3 cups green seedless grapes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, for topping

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry all grapes. Halve the grapes if you prefer smaller pieces. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the creamy dressing over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until they are evenly coated.
  5. Stir in most of the chopped pecans, reserving some for the topping.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to combine.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle the reserved chopped pecans and the brown sugar evenly over the top of the salad.
  8. Serve cold as a refreshing side dish or potluck favorite.

Notes

  • For best results, use seedless grapes. You can use all red or all green if preferred.
  • Make this make ahead cream cheese grape salad up to a day in advance; add the brown sugar topping just before serving to keep it from dissolving.
