Make this rich, creamy, and tangy Blue Cheese Dip at home. It is quick to prepare and perfect for serving with chicken wings, fresh vegetables, or as a cold chip dip for your next game day party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the crumbled blue cheese in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Use a fork or a rubber spatula to mix all ingredients together until they are just combined. Do not overmix; you want some texture from the blue cheese crumbles.
  4. If using, stir in the fresh chives.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the blue cheese dip for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to fully meld.
  6. Serve chilled with your favorite chicken wings, vegetable sticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • For a lighter dip, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you prefer a thinner consistency, similar to a dressing, add one tablespoon of milk or buttermilk at a time until you reach your desired flow.
  • You can use this dip as a flavorful Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe for salads.
