Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no thaw needed)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
If using frozen shrimp, rinse them under cold water until thawed, then pat them completely dry with paper towels. If using fresh shrimp, ensure they are peeled and deveined, then pat them dry.
In a medium bowl, toss the dried shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
Remove the basket from the air fryer. Immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot shrimp and toss gently to coat.
Serve the shrimp immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For best results and crispy texture, make sure your shrimp are very dry before seasoning and cooking.
You can substitute the Parmesan cheese with paprika or chili powder for a different flavor profile.
This recipe works well served over salads, mixed into pasta, or used for shrimp tacos.
