Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp blackened seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes. If using frozen salmon, thaw completely before proceeding.
In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, blackened seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 6-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy. Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For meal prep, cook the salmon bites and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or oven.
These salmon bites are excellent in grain bowls, on salads, or as a filling for tacos.
Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the cayenne pepper.
If you don’t have blackened seasoning, you can make your own by combining paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
